About Me

I founded Hunter Search Global after more than 20 years in the global recruitment industry.

My career began in London as a Tech 360 Recruiter at SThree Group, where I had the privilege of working directly under the founders. That early mentorship shaped my approach to recruitment and leadership — and led to becoming the #1 biller in the organization in my first year.

I later returned home to Australia and became a Partner, helping build a recruitment firm to over 50 consultants, with offices nationwide.

During this time, I trained and mentored trainees who went on to become million-dollar billers, reinforcing my belief that great systems and fair incentives unlock exceptional performance.

After selling my share of the business, I launched Hunter as a consulting-led Rec2Rec firm — created to do more than simply place people. Hunter partners with recruitment businesses to grow sustainably, train internal talent, and build high-performing teams.

Five years ago, I brought the Hunter Rec2Rec consulting model to the United States, working across multiple disciplines and speaking with some of the most talented recruiters in the market. As a former agency owner, I was often surprised by how many business models prioritized margin over people — despite strong profits being entirely achievable without greed.

That experience shaped a clear principle for me at Hunter:

If a recruitment firm isn’t fairly rewarding its Recruiters/headhunters then I would not represent them

In 2024 Taking this ethos with me and creating a vision, I knew I wanted to build a platform that gave recruitment professionals a genuine alternative. A place where recruiters could access best-in-class tech, full operational support, and individual brand promotion — with a clear pathway to launch their own recruitment firms if that was their long-term goal. Most importantly, a model that gave recruiters back 75% of what they bill.

In 2025, that vision became a reality I was then fortunate to meet Ian Farber, my co-founder, who shared the same ethics and integrity. Ian brings deep expertise across the full recruitment lifecycle — from building high-performing desks to managing teams and implementing strong operational and procedural frameworks.

What drives us, and every Hunter Partner, is a commitment to change the recruitment industry for the better. To turn the traditional model on its head and create one where recruiters and headhunters are rewarded fairly for the value they deliver to clients and candidates — without compromise.

Her proficiency extends to sourcing professionals across various industries, including Fin Services, Construction, Engineering, Renewable Energy, and Life Sciences, from entry-level to Director positions worldwide.

Notably, Katherine established and cultivated a recruitment firm housing over 50 360 Full Desk Recruiters, resulting in revenue upwards of 25 million. Her impactful career also boasts achievements in headhunting and retaining assignments on an international scale. She has a strong track record in defining and developing strategic roles within organizations.

With a robust sales background, Katherine has been instrumental in implementing strategic hiring programs, directing training academies, and offering guidance on talent development for firms. As a brand ambassador and proficient headhunter, she consistently delivers concrete and measurable results that significantly contribute to business success.
