I founded Hunter Search Global after more than 20 years in the global recruitment industry.
My career began in London as a Tech 360 Recruiter at SThree Group, where I had the privilege of working directly under the company’s founders. That early mentorship shaped both my approach to recruitment and my philosophy on leadership, ultimately leading me to become the #1 biller in the organization during my first year.
I later returned home to Australia and became a Partner in a growing recruitment firm, helping scale the business to more than 50 consultants across offices nationwide. During that time, I trained and mentored recruiters who went on to become million-dollar billers, reinforcing my belief that great systems, strong leadership, and fair incentives unlock exceptional performance.
After selling my share of the business, I launched Hunter as a consulting-led Rec2Rec firm designed to do more than simply place people. Hunter was built to partner with recruitment businesses to help them grow sustainably, develop internal talent, and build high-performing teams.
Five years ago, I brought Hunter’s Rec2Rec consulting model to the United States, working across multiple disciplines and connecting with some of the most talented recruiters in the market. As a former agency owner, I was often surprised by how many business models prioritized margin over people; despite the fact that strong profitability can absolutely exist without sacrificing fairness or integrity.
That experience solidified a core principle for me at Hunter: If a recruitment firm does not fairly reward its recruiters and headhunters, I will not represent them.
In 2024, I began building a new vision for what recruitment could look like. I wanted to create a platform that offered recruitment professionals a genuine alternative; a place where recruiters could access best-in-class technology, full operational support, and personal brand promotion, all while having a clear pathway to eventually launch their own firms if that aligned with their long-term goals.
Most importantly, I wanted to create a model that returned 75% of billings to the recruiters generating the value.
Today, Hunter Search Global is driven by a simple mission: to challenge the traditional recruitment model and build something better; one where recruiters and headhunters are rewarded fairly for the value they deliver to both clients and candidates, without compromise.
Katherine is a seasoned professional with a diversified industry background in Headhunting, Business Consulting, and Training. She draws upon her extensive expertise in establishing and managing her own Recruitment firm, specializing in the Technology, Construction, and Real Estate sectors. Katherine has successfully collaborated with management teams and hiring managers of organizations globally, employing both contingent and retained approaches to source Recruiters, Search Professionals, T.A., and H.R. professionals. Her proficiency extends to sourcing professionals across various industries, including Fin Services, Construction, Engineering, Renewable Energy, and Life Sciences, from entry-level to Director positions worldwide.
Notably, Katherine established and cultivated a recruitment firm housing over 50 360 Full Desk Recruiters, resulting in revenue upwards of 25 million. Her impactful career also boasts achievements in headhunting and retaining assignments on an international scale. She has a strong track record in defining and developing strategic roles within organizations.
With a robust sales background, Katherine has been instrumental in implementing strategic hiring programs, directing training academies, and offering guidance on talent development for firms. As a brand ambassador and proficient headhunter, she consistently delivers concrete and measurable results that significantly contribute to business success.
