Tom Allen

About Me

With nearly a decade in a Business Development capacity and half of that time spent as a 360 recruiter, client development is where Tom thrives. Growing up on the shore of Connecticut, and spending summers across the Sound hauling lumber and stone around his family’s job sites, set the stage for what was needed to build a construction recruitment business.

Over the years, Tom has diverted from the transactional approach many recruiters take— instead positioning himself as a true Career Consultant for his candidates, an authentic business partner, and a workforce efficiency resource for his clients. When you have court, you get a call from your lawyer. When it’s tax season, your accountant receives your latest paperwork. When it is time to buy a home or see what’s out there, your real estate agent will receive a text. And when it’s time for a new job (or a new hire), you call Tom.

When he’s off the desk, he is spending time in the gym, swimming, golfing, and writing. His real passions lie in music, travel, film, and time spent with family and loved ones.

He admits that trying to keep the reins on “Tom knows best” is a daily battle. He is working on using words more effectively and embodying a more stoic approach to life in general. “Less is more” has been his theme as of late. Every healthy biography, in his opinion, must have a bit of critique. And in that regard, he supposes this sentence is as poetic an end as any.

If you are a commercial Project Manager, Superintendent, or Estimator—or these are the types of people your business needs— reach out to Tom. He promises good banter at the very least, and the most quality recruitment and/or job-hunting experience in the market, at the very most. If you’ve gotten this far, he appreciates your time and looks forward to making a connection soon. Cheers!
